LOCATION: The workshops are held at Oregon State University, in Corvallis, Oregon. Participants are housed in the dorms or you may choose a local motel/hotelfor lodging.
COST:
The workshop fee of $675 includes basic fee for the workshop, double
dorm room with linen supply, campus parking permit and meals. Single
dorm rooms (part of a suite, see below) are available for an additional
charge of $50. Those living within commuting distance or wishing to
stay off campus may attend the workshop for $375 (no meals). A meal
pass for those staying off campus is available for $100. Spouses or
friends accompanying participants and living in the dorms pay $300 for
lodging and meals.
LODGING DETAILS: Two options are available: dorm room or local motels/hotels.
Dorm Room: The dorm will be Halsell Hall, the newest dorm on campus. Dorm rooms
are arranged as suites, with two, three, or four bedrooms arranged
around a common sitting and kitchen area. Each suite has its own shower
and bathroom facilities.THE DORM IS NOT AIR-CONDITIONED. There is an elevator to the upper
floors. If you request a single room, you will have one of the bedrooms
as your own, but will share the common area of the suite. A double will
have two people sharing a bedroom in the suite.
Local motels/hotels: There are several lodging facilities in the Corvallis area. The Hilton Garden Inn Corvallis is
across the street from the campus' south entrance. Others will require
driving to campus or taking a long walk. No meals
provided unless you purchase an on-campus dining pass for $100. If you
wish to
stay at a local motel/hotel, you would need to make your own room
arrangements
by contacting the facilities directly. Make reservations as early
as possible if staying off campus as the OSU campus holds many events
during the summer and rooms go quickly.
Please note: The workshop may be unable to
provide for those with special health needs or disabilities. Please
contact us before registering if you may need assistance in these areas.
COLLEGE CREDIT:An
optional three hours of graduate credit is available for all
classes for an additional cost of $360 (and a "matriculation fee" of
$25 if you have not registered for an OSU class in the past 12 months).
An additional project beyond the week to
earn the credits will be required. Other credit options are not
available. College
credit must be paid separately at the first class meeting on Sunday
evening.
EVENINGS: Participants may shop and/or see the sights of the Corvallis/Willamette Valley area:
